When you upload your data to the Data Archive it is stored on the UNSW Campus in one of the university data centres.

When you write to the store, Three copies are made; two always remain on-site and the third copy is taken to a secure off-site facility.

This ensures that in the event that something happens to the on-site copies there is an additional backup.
